Carlos Biggemann was born with Down syndrome, but doesn’t want this to be a barrier. Originally from Bolivia, Carlos moved to Dunedin with his family when he was a child, where he was included in mainstream education. Carlos discovered a love of photography, and is now preparing for the launch of a book that showcases his work alongside poetry. Fluent in Spanish and English, Carlos is now studying German at university. Carlos also speaks three languages, and is studying a fourth at university.
