On World Down Syndrome Day 2019 Down Syndrome International organised a side event to the 21st Session of the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, held at the Palais des Nations (the home of the UN in Geneva).

The event was intended to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day and to give self-advocates with Down syndrome a chance to speak up about their rights to employment.
