Lian was an “unadoptable” baby with Down syndrome living in an orphanage in China, but when his adoptive family saw his precious face in a photo… they knew Lian was coming home with them. Once Lian got his new home, he got a new grandpa whose own disability would help them form an unbreakable bond. Grandpa Sherman grew up with cerebral palsy. Lian is living life just like other kids his age and is thriving, proving that he is so much more than the label “unadoptable.”
We are on a mission to produce 24 documentaries this year to celebrate the voices of the Down syndrome community. Our goal is to raise $125,000 to keep these stories free and accessible to the world.
