Sleep: Inspire Therapy

Presented by: Eileen M. Raynor, MD

Dr. Raynor will be discussing Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) within the Down syndrome population along with effective treatments and alternatives, including FDA approved Inspire Therapy for patients 13 and up with OSA and Down syndrome.

Dr. Raynor is Associate Professor of Head and Neck Surgery & Communication Science and Pediatrics and Division Chief for Pediatric Otolaryngology at Duke University School of Medicine where she has practiced pediatric Otolaryngology since 2009.

Prior to Duke, she was on faculty at University of Florida –
Jacksonville. She practices the full breadth of pediatric otolaryngology with the exception of cochlear implantation. Her research interests include congenital CMV, post tonsillectomy pain management, improving health literacy and multidisciplinary care. She is a part of the Duke Cleft and Craniofacial team as well as the vascular malformation team. She is a member of the NC CMV workgroup and presented in several statewide webinars to increase education about Congenital CMV.

She is actively engaged in state and national leadership roles and is the current President of the NC Medical Society. She serves as the Member-at-large for the AAO BOG Executive Committee and is the Advocacy Chair for the Otolaryngology Section of the AAP. She has over 40 publications and has presented nationally and internationally. Dr. Raynor enjoys many hobbies, especially travel and spending time with her family and 2 dogs.
