In this episode, Sofia sits down with Kassidy O’Connell, Assistant Director of UNLV Project Focus, a program designed to support students with intellectual disabilities by providing them the opportunity to attend college classes, engage on campus, and develop valuable life and job skills. Kassidy shares how Project Focus gives students the full college experience alongside their peers, helping them gain independence and prepare for meaningful careers. At age 16, college is on the horizon for Sofia — the perfect time to start planning for the future.
Sofia also chats with Chloe, a UNLV Project Focus student who works at the university’s preschool. Chloe talks about ABA Therapy, her passion for education, and her experiences working with children from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
