Grainne and Sinéad are Speech and Language Therapy Assistants who work across the North West of Ireland. They were both inspired to take on the roles after welcoming their own wonderful daughters who have Down syndrome. They now work with children on a weekly basis, giving them consistent therapy through the Keep Communicating Programme. This programme is working, but it needs funding in order to grow.
Communication is a human right.
Without Government funding, we cannot expand this programme to reach every child who needs it.
Without Government funding, the children you see here will lose this support.
We’re calling on the Department of Children, Disability and Equality to take action.
