When an expectant parent is told their child has Down syndrome, the worry they have for their unborn baby is compounded. They’re given little (if any) hope for the future, and more often than not are presented with the option of abortion. Yet the reality is different. Parents say having a child with Down syndrome enriches their lives, and the lives of those around them, and couldn’t imagine their baby any other way.
