Getting to know more about Down Syndrome from Toluwanimoje (Temple Primary).

Every year, educators, societies and charities come together to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day on 21st of March.

Temple school joins the rest of the World to create awareness for children living with Down Syndrome today (21st March 2018) by having an Awareness Assembly.

Children and teachers came to school with colourful mix match socks, and they explored ways of supporting people living with Down Syndrome through discussions, videos, songs and dances and presentations.
This is in line with our ethos which says – every child is good at something, and it is our job to discover it and develop it.

Temple School accepts all children irrespective of strengths, weaknesses or disability.
Temple school practices inclusion of all pupils and students.

According to the United Nations, for WDSD 2018, Down Syndrome International focuses on:

#WhatIBringToMyCommunity – how people with Down syndrome can and do make meaningful contributions throughout their lives, whether in schools, workplaces, living in the community, public and political life, culture, media, recreation, leisure and sport.
