The video we would like to share demonstrates the idea that people with Down syndrome have a lot of in common with other people – we share the same hobbies, we like to do the same things. True inclusion means for us this possibility: to find what we have in common than to look for the differences among us. Down syndrome doesn’t determine a person as a personality, the personality is determined by what a person likes to do and does. In 2021, Downside Up launched a flash mob #So do I! We found so many common hobbies and likes, people and children of all ages took part in the flash mob and posted photos on social media. Photos from this flash mob were used in this video to illustrate hobbies that young adults with Down syndrome were talking about.
