21 March: Together Against Loneliness

On 21 March, we mark World Down Syndrome Day, a date recognised by the United Nations that invites us not only to raise awareness, but also to listen, reflect and take action.

In 2026, the message is clear and urgent:
“Together Against Loneliness.”

Loneliness is not a choice.
Many people with Down syndrome — and their families too — experience it every day, even when they are surrounded by others. Because real inclusion goes far beyond simply “being there”: it means belonging, participating, and feeling valued.

At Down TV, we want to hear your voice.

We invite you to upload a video and tell us:

  • what makes you feel connected
  • what inclusion means to you
  • how we can build community together

Because when we share our stories, we break isolation.
And because when we speak together, we are stronger.

Join the movement.
Upload your video to Down TV and help us say it loud and clear:
Together Against Loneliness.
